FEI sets up fund for Haiti

In response to the tragic earthquake, which rocked Haiti last month, the FEI is inviting the equestrian community to gather financial support. Funds collected will be sent to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) to assist both organisations in their efforts towards the rebuilding of the sports movement and local sports installations in Haiti once local conditions permit.

CSI 5* KL Grand Prix postponed indefinitely

Asiapromote Ventures has issued a statement postponing the CSI 5* KL Grand Prix indefinitely.   In an e-mail sent today, Peter Imran Winton said, "Sadly I must inform you that the International Award winning CSI 5* KL Grand Prix will NOT be held as scheduled from 18-21 March 2010."

It is very hard to write an obituary for a man who has given me without a doubt the best days of my life as well as my darkest hour. I have had endless emails and texts from people saying “I am sure you will pen some great words about the great man”. I think for the first time in my life, my mind is empty.

I can count on one hand how many people I know from all over the world that at the just the mention of their name, you will receive a laugh. Rod is one of them, if not at the top of the list. Imagine trying to just sell a bridle or a saddle and then going on to touch hearts all over the world.
