Olympic long lists
Friday, July 11th, 2008

The FEI has released the long lists of horses and riders to participate in the equestrian events of the 2008 Olympic Games. Forty-two nations will be represented in the three Olympic disciplines of Jumping, Dressage and Eventing, as follows:

29 nations in Jumping (16 teams and 13 with individuals)

22 nations in Dressage (14 teams and 8 with individuals)

25 nations in Eventing (11 teams and 14 with individuals)

Seven nations will have teams in all three disciplines: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden and the USA.

To view the lists, please visit the brand new website www.fei.org/olympics that has been set up for the Olympic Games. Go to the section “Participants” placed centrally on the homepage and select the discipline from the dropdown menu. A link to a pdf version is available for download and print.

Please note that the long lists contain the maximum number of riders and horses allowed to be entered by the National Federations. This maximum number is up to triple the number permitted to compete in Hong Kong. The short lists with the final number of riders and horses – 75 for Jumping, 50 for Dressage and 75 for Eventing - are due on 23 July.
