S'pore National Championships

The annual Starhub National Dressage Championship came to a beautiful close on Sunday to the sound of clinking glasses and excited cheering as lead competitors were recognized with numerous awards and prizes. The two day Championship, held by the Singapore Polo Club on May 24 & 25 was attended by top competitors from both the Bukit Timah Saddle Club and the Singapore Polo Club all vying for Championship titles in the preliminary, novice, elementary, medium, and FEI intermediate classes.

The annual, and always exciting, Starhub National Jumping Final was held over 14th and 15th June 2008 at the Singapore Polo Club. This once-a-year event attracted over 30 riders from Bukit Timah Saddle Club and Singapore Polo Club.
The weekend was split into two sections, with the jumping classes being held Saturday morning, afternoon and Sunday morning and the dressage competition on Sunday afternoon. Fortunately the weather cooperated and conditions were cool and cloudy, at least on Saturday while Sunday left the riders a little warm under the collar.
