Marcus Oldham's IRT International Equine Scholarship

Marcus Oldham College has an International Equine Scholarship worth AUD$10,000 for the year 2009.
The
International Equine Scholarship, sponsored by IRT, is worth AUD$10,000
in financial support for a student to study the Diploma of Horse
Business Management at Marcus Oldham College, Geelong, Victoria,
Australia. Applicants must be non-Australian resident, over 18 years
of age, have a passion for horses and a strong desire to pursue a
career with the equine industry.
The
Diploma of Horse Business Management is a unique and intensive one year
course that gives students who have a strong interest in the horse
industry the practical training, husbandry knowledge, business skill
and industry contacts necessary for a successful career in the horse
industry. Internationally recognised, the course has been developed in
close consultation with industry leaders and emphasises skills that are
transferable across a wide span of careers.

management, we think it is an ideal course for students who intend to
work at a riding school and progress up the ladder to management and to
use the financial skills that they have learnt during their time at

The
college is proud of its students who have represented Australia and
their home countries in Olympic Games. Graduates have trained Group One
winning thoroughreds both in Australia and New Zealand and are
currently actively participating in the equine world in many and varied
positions in administration, marketing, sales and practical hands on,
on many farms throughout the world.
