The launch of the Coffee Table Book, in conjunction with the Sultan's Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge 2007, is of great significance to the equestrian community, as it is the first ever endurance coffee table publication in Malaysia.

The Coffee Table Book was launched by His Majesty the Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, an avid endurance rider himself, today at Palace of the Golden Horses at 6.30 p.m.

The Coffee Table Book, published by Yayasan DiRaja Sultan Mizan (YDSM) is published with the sole purpose of highlighting the success of the Sultan's Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge 2007 and also as a testament of the glorious moments of the first real international endurance ride in Malaysia. The book will showcase the momentous Malaysia playing host to this prestigious event. This colourful documentation of around 180 pages will enable fans to appreciate the sport and continue to lend support to this world class event.

Sultan’s Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge 2007, was held in Terengganu International Endurance Park (TIEP) from 9th to 11th November 2007. 13 countries including Brazil, France, Spain, UAE, USA and Malaysia participated in this ride and the completion rate was 67%, which was far beyond expectation from the percentage set by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), 40%.

With the outstanding success of the Sultan’s Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge 2007, Malaysia has been awarded by the FEI to host the FEI World Endurance Championship 2008 (FEI WEC 2008) from 6th –9th November 2008, at TIEP.

In conjunction with today's historic launch, a mock cheque presentation was held to acknowledge some of the sponsors for the FEI WEC 2008. The mock cheques were presented to His Majesty from Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Mohd. Hanif Omar, Deputy Chairman of Resorts World Berhad and Yang Berbahagia Datuk Aishah Ahmad, Director of Corporate Affair for Sime Darby Motor Division Sdn Bhd.
