Seven top teams will fight it out for the Mercedes Benz - B Grimm Thai Polo Open 2010 from 6th to 16th January at the Thai Polo & Equestrian Club in Pattaya, Thailand.

Dato' Harald Link leads his own Thai Polo team, this time playing with three professional players, former England captain Andrew Hine, young star Oliver Cudmore and Argentine six-goaler Manolo Fernandez Llorente.

Dato' Mohamed Moiz will be hoping for a threepeat at the Thai Polo Open, having won it in 2008 and 2009 with his own BRDB team.  However the BRDB and Royal Pahang teams have been merged to allow the formation of the new RMPA 1 Malaysia team of Edham Shaharuddin, Shaik Reismann, Tengku Shazril and Amran Selamat.  Dato' Moiz will play with HRH Prince Abdullah in the Royal Pahang team.  They will be joined by Malaysian Open MVP Gaston Moore and Martin Inchauspe.

Satinder Garcha was co-patron of BRDB -Elevation in 2009.  This year he pairs with Jogo Polo's Quzier Ambak for the Thailand tournaments.  Their Jogo -Elevation team will feature Argentine seven-goaler Gerardo Mazzini and Indian four-goaler Simran Shergill.

Thai-Polo based Claudia Zeisberger returns to the Thai Open for the second time with “B Grimm INSEAD”.  Caroline Link had been her co-patron in last year’s game and the two ladies had planned to return for their second season. But Caroline had to withdraw when she broke her arm in an unlucky polo accident a few weeks ago.  Claudia will now join forces with Gary Tiernan, whose ponies are also based at Thai Polo. Their team will be supported by RMPA International League veteran Carlos Pando together with the exciting Raul Laplacette - certainly a team with great control and professional understanding.

Hong Kong's Aron Harilela plays his own Harilela - The Next Level with Hissam "Namu" Hyder, English three-goaler Matthew Lodder and six-goaler Nacho Ganzalez.  It is a very exciting line-up, and like Thai Polo, one of only two three-pro teams.

Malaysia's Bunga Raya is the only team that very sportingly plays with just one professional, Manuel Crespo.  The three amateur patrons are Dato' Razak Feroz Khan, Toh Muda Rizal Ramli and Mohd Zekri Ibrahim.
