Tuesday, 12 January 2010 14:41
Zack's Tack @ RSPC was burgled sometime between 6 pm on Monday 11th and 9 am on Tuesday 12th January. Burglars got away with a very small amount of cash, two saddles and bridles and some mini chaps.
Equestrian centres, riders and polo players are asked to assist Zack's Tack if you come across anyone trying to sell a Santa Cruz Eagle jumping saddle - there is only one of its kind in Malaysia - or an polo saddle, polo bridles, black or brown mini-chaps. Please call the police or let Peter Abisheganaden know by sms or calling him at 019 312 3355 or e-mailing to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The burglars broke in through the roof of the shop. They destroyed the computer's cash box and stole the small amount of cash in the box. They then took their time to select girths, stirrups, bridles and bits, before packing them in grooming bags and making off through the hole in the roof. The club's security guards, who were at the security post approximately 10 m from the shop, heard nothing. RSPC had just hired a new security company that provides 24 hour security using Nepalese guards.
Managing Director Peter Abisheganaden told Equestrian.Com.My, "What can I say? We knew our saddles are highly sought after. Everyone wants our special saddles. But this is too much. We hope the police catch the culprits and hang them by their balls."
